• Typically the evaluation appointment will take about 1-1.5 hours which will include written documentation and an interview with a clinician.
• This document is prepared by a clinician and needs to be highly detailed and accurately report your past substance use and clinical criteria. 
  If your arrest was due to DUI there are five risk classifications which you can be assigned. Each risk level has state mandatory criteria. This is what we are going to determine during your evaluation.
• Minimal Risk requires a client to have only one DUI in a lifetime, registered a BAC of .14 or below, and have no signs/symptoms of alcohol/drug abuse. Minimal Risk recommendations require a 10-hour DUI Risk Reduction Education Class.
• Moderate Risk requires a client to have only one DUI in a lifetime, BAC .15 to .19 or had refused/failed to complete chemical testing, and have up to 1 signs/symptoms of alcohol/drug abuse. Moderate Risk recommendations include a 10-hour DUI Risk Reduction Education Class and 12 hours of “Early Intervention” which is similar to counseling.
• Significant Risk requires a client to have one or more DUI arrests, a BAC .20 or more, and/or at least 2 to 3 signs/symptoms of alcohol or drug abuse. Significant Risk recommendations include a 10 hour DUI Risk Reduction Education Class, 20 hours of substance abuse counseling, and a continuing care plan (follow up recommendations).
• High Risk Non-Dependent requires a client to have three or more DUI arrests or related driver's license suspensions in lifetime and not have signs/symptoms of a moderate or severe substance use disorder. High Risk Non-Dependent requires 75 hours of substance abuse counseling and a continuing care plan.
• High Risk Alcohol/Drug Dependent would be any client who meets clinical criteria for a diagnosis of alcohol/drug dependency. High Risk Chemical Dependency requires 75 hours of substance abuse counseling and a continuing care plan.

We are licensed for DUI evaluations, 10-hour DUI risk education, outpatient treatment, and intensive outpatient treatment. Most services can be completed within 30 days and individual scheduled DUI classes can be completed in 4 days.

There is nothing more disappointing after completing all of your requirements only to go to a hearing and be denied a driver's license or permit.Many times the order of denial is due to inconsistencies in your testimony and documentation prepared by the clinician. It is critical that before you go to a hearing that you read all of the clinical documents.

You should understand what the documents indicate and be prepared to testify at the hearing information consistent with these documents. Additionally, the hearing is a civil matter and not a court proceeding. It is up to you to provide all needed documentation and testify on your behalf at the hearing to make a case for the Secretary of State to determine that you are a "low" risk to the public's safety. If you have been denied driving relief, Care Clinics Inc. can help you even if we did not complete the initial evaluation or treatment services.
